Grande Centre Point Bangkok - The City at Your Feet

Boasting arguably the most advantageous address in Bangkok, the Grande Centre Point Hotel and Residence opened in late 2011 on the corner of Asoke and Sukhumvit Roads.

Guests and residents can travel to the furthest reaches of the city in less than half an hour, north, south, east or west, due to the direct access to the Metro and Skytrain stations.  Covered walkways ensure that you can access the transport hub bone dry even in the heaviest of Bangkok's deluges.

And for those wishing to explore closer to home, the complex includes the swanky new Terminal 21 shopping mall, complete with restaurants, coffee shops, cinemas, a supermarket and fashion outlets galore.

Bourbon Street Restaurant and Oyster Bar, a Bangkok institution, recently relocated to new premises in Ekamai.  The same spicy aromas of Louisiana are still very much in evidence, however, with the eatery meeting the demands of a well established customer base for Cajun and Creole cuisine.

Mexican food is another speciality of the kitchen, and the ever popular Mexican buffet night is still going strong every Tuesday in the Sukhumvit 63 restaurant.

Le Meridien Hotel in Bangkok held a cocktail party on March 22nd to celebrate the opening of Le Meridien Koh Samui Villas and Suites.  Designated as "Destination Koh Samui", the party celebrated the establishment of Le Meridien's 99th worldwide property.

Global Brand Manager Emily Shattan (above, right, with Arnaud Champenois, Asia Pacific Brand Director for W Hotels and Le Meridien) jetted in from New York to host the event.  She explained how opening the 99th property was considered doubly auspicious as the number nine is regarded as a lucky number throughout Asia.  Feng Shui principles were adhered to prior to construction at Lamai Beach, giving the resort further added benefits.  Considered Sino-Thai in appearance, the property marks Starwood Hotels and Resorts growing footprint in Thailand.
